8 Fake Cryptocurrency Mining Apps: Delete Immediately:

Money is not earned just by investing in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum. There is also a way mining, through which people earn good money and many bad apps are taking advantage of this. A security research firm has recently discovered that there are many such apps on the Google Play store in Android, which are working to cheat users. Google has also removed 8 of these apps. All these apps either charge money to download and install them or they are free to install, but while running they show ads to the users and also steal data.

Security firm Trend Micro has warned that hundreds of crypto mining apps on the Google Play store are working to cheat users. Not only this, these apps show ads in a wrong way and also break into the personal data of the users. The report says that although Google has removed 8 apps related to Cryptocurrency Mining from its platform, but still if users search ‘Cloud mining’ on Google Play Store, they will find many similar harmful Apps will be available.

trend micro infoGiven that the 8 apps removed by Google used to grab an average of $ 15 (about Rs 1,100) from users every month through advertising and subscription service. These apps used to make extra payments to the users with the promise of earning more money than ordinary users through mining and in return the users did not get anything. Out of these 8 apps, 2 were paid. The Crypto Holic – Bitcoin Cloud Mining app was priced at $12.99 (approximately Rs.965), while the Daily Bitcoin Rewards app was priced at $5.99 (approximately Rs.445).

8 Cryptocurrency Mining Apps Banned

  • BitFunds – Crypto Cloud Mining
  • Bitcoin Miner – Cloud Mining
  • Bitcoin (BTC) – Pool Mining Cloud Wallet
  • Crypto Holic – Bitcoin Cloud Mining
  • Daily Bitcoin Rewards – Cloud Based Mining System
  • Bitcoin 2021
  • MineBit Pro – Crypto Cloud Mining & btc miner
  • Ethereum (ETH) – Pool Mining Cloud

Trend Micro’s Mobile App Reputation Service (MARS) data shows that over 120 fake cryptocurrency mining apps are still being used by many users. These apps also do not have cryptocurrency mining capabilities and they deceive users by showing them in-app ads. These apps affected more than 4,500 users globally between July 2020 and July 2021.

Trend Micro has advised people to avoid such apps and also explained how you can identify these fraudulent apps. The firm says that users should read its user reviews carefully before downloading the app. Fake apps are given 5 star rating by many users at the time of launch, but when the truth of the apps comes out, users give it 1 star and also tell their own past. Such reviews should be read carefully.

Also, enter the wrong cryptocurrency wallet address at the beginning, as the research firm has found that fake apps also accept the wrong address. In such a situation, if the app shows further steps by taking your wrong address, then there is a lot of possibility of the app being fake.

Apple Electric Vehicle EV Might Be Launched Soon

Apple Electric Vehicle EV Might Be Launched Soon
Apple Electric Vehicle EV Might Be Launched Soon

Apple is in early talks with China’s CATL and BYD to supply batteries. Apple is talking about its planned electric vehicle. Four persons with knowledge of the matter have said this. It is not clear whether CATL or BYD will be settled. Here on the condition of anonymity, the person associated with the matter said. It has come from two sources that Apple has put manufacturing facilities in the United States as a prerequisite for potential battery suppliers.

The two individuals said CATL, which supplies major carmakers including Tesla, is not showing interest in building a US factory due to political tensions between Washington and Beijing, as well as cost concerns. It is not yet clear whether Apple is in all communication with other battery makers.

Apple is yet to announce its car plans and the company declined to comment. The world’s largest automotive battery maker CATL and world number four BYD also declined to comment.

Due to this news, BYD shares rose up to 5.4 percent in the afternoon in Hong Kong and closed trading in Shenzhen with a rise of 6.5 percent. On the other hand, CATL made a profit of 0.5 percent after making up the earlier loss.

Apple favors using lithium iron phosphate batteries that are cheaper to produce. Because they are made by using iron instead of nickel and cobalt. Whereas nickel and cobalt are quite expensive metals. These four people said.

Reuters reported in December that the company is working on self-driving technology and aims to have its own passenger vehicle by 2024.
People familiar with the matter said that earlier Apple was planning to use its own battery technology for its electric vehicles. It was unclear whether the discussions with CATL and BYD also included Apple’s own technology or designs.

The discussion comes at a time when the US government is looking to encourage more EV manufacturing. US President Joy Biden has proposed an infrastructure plan of $1.7 trillion (about Rs 1,23,90,960 crore) of which $174 billion (about Rs 12,68,310 crore) has been earmarked to boost the domestic EV market. It also includes tax credits and grants and other incentives.

Many battery manufacturers are ramping up production to meet the growing demand around the world. The reason for this is to tackle global warming. As a result, car makers are increasingly turning to electric vehicles to comply with tougher emissions regulations.

SNE Research said in its June report that China’s battery makers would grow faster than their foreign peers. The credit for which goes to the expansion of the world’s largest EV market.

Reuters reported last week that CATL is planning a major new automotive battery plant in Shanghai. Which is continuing the fast pace of expansion. This will strengthen its lead as the world’s number one supplier. Its factory will be near Tesla’s China manufacturing operations.

5 Important Smartphone Sensors: You Must Know

5 Important Smartphone Sensors: You Must Know
5 Important Smartphone Sensors: You Must Know

When you talk to someone on your smartphone, the screen light turns off automatically, when you rotate the phone from landscape to portrait or portrait to landscape mode by turning on auto rotation, the aspect ratio of the screen also changes . Have you thought about how this happens? For your information, let us tell you that if any work is done automatically in any electronic product, then the sensor has a hand in it. These days smartphones are launching with many sensors and in today’s report we will talk about some important sensors of the smartphone.

Proximity Sensor

When an object is near the smartphone, this sensor detects its presence. This sensor is mainly located on the top of the smartphone near the front camera. Usually, when you bring the smartphone to your ear to make a call or make a call, this sensor automatically turns off the light on the display of the smartphone.

Accelerometer and gyroscope sensor

This sensor mainly tells about the direction in which the smartphone is rotated . Whenever we are watching a video in a smartphone, we prefer to watch it in landscape mode instead of portrait mode, so that the video can be seen on full screen. For this, as soon as we rotate the smartphone in landscape mode, the orientation of the video playing in the phone also becomes landscape. It is called accelerometer and gyroscope sensor because two sensors are needed for rotation in a smartphone, in which the accelerometer controls its linear acceleration and the gyroscope controls the speed of its rotational angle.

Biometric/fingerprint Sensor

It is being used nowadays in almost all types of mid range and high range smartphones. With its help, the fingerprint sensor works through this sensor to protect the smartphone. This sensor collects data by scanning the thumb or finger entered in the smartphone. The second time, the same thumb or finger is placed near this sensor, it combines its information with the collected information to identify the correct thumb or finger.\

Ambient Light Sensor

This sensor not only adjusts the brightness of the smartphone’s display according to the light, but also helps in automatically increasing or decreasing the brightness of the display. All the smartphones nowadays are coming with auto brightness control and all these smartphones have an ambient light sensor for this.

GPS Sensor

You must know about this sensor. It is commonly used in all smartphones. GPS stands for Global Positioning System (Global Positioning System). GPS is America’s navigation system. India has Navic Navigation System but it is being used in very few phones. Through this sensor, it helps to know the location of the device. This sensor can connect with many types of satellites to tell where you are at the moment? GPS sensor works only when there is internet connectivity in the smartphone i.e. if internet data is turned off in your smartphone, then this sensor will not work.

Fastest Meteor Discovered In Solar System

Fastest Meteor Discovered In Solar System
Fastest Meteor Discovered In Solar System

Astronomers at the Carnegie Institution of Science have discovered the fastest meteor (asteroid) in our solar system that completes one revolution around the sun in just 113 days.

It should be noted that the planet Mercury completes one orbit around the Sun in less time, i.e in just 88 days, however, firstly it is a planet and secondly its orbit is very stable.

In contrast, the newly discovered astronomical body is a meteorite with a very irregular or elliptical orbit.

As a result, it travels in its orbit at a distance of only 20 million kilometers from the Sun. This distance is less than the average distance of Mercury from the Sun (47 million km).

On the other hand, at its extreme distance from the Sun, its distance (from the Sun) is more than 110 million kilometers, which is more than the orbit of the planet Venus (Venus).

The meteorite, about one kilometer in size, has been discovered by Scott Shepard and his colleagues, who have named it “2021 PH27”.

He added that when it passes very close to the sun, not only does it accelerate, but its surface also becomes extremely hot and its temperature is around 500 degrees Celsius. Arrives

The discovery of “2021 pH27” has been confirmed with the help of several powerful binoculars.

Given its bizarre orbit, astronomers say it may have occurred in the “asteroid belt” millions of years ago. (This belt of countless small and large meteors is located between Mars and Jupiter.)

However, for some reason its orbit was affected and it changed its course.

Its current orbit is also very unstable, so it is very possible that in the next few million years it will collide with Venus, Mercury or the Sun and end its existence forever. Or go into a completely different orbit than your current orbit.

Scott Shepherd says that the discovery of such strange celestial bodies will help us to understand the origin and evolution of meteors and comets and will be able to better understand our own solar system. ۔

YouTube Deletes1 Million Videos Related To COVID

YouTube Deletes1 Million Videos Related To COVID

YouTube has deleted 1 million videos based on highly dangerous misleading content related to Covid 19.

Neil Mohan, YouTube’s chief product officer, shared the figures on a blog, saying that 1 million videos have been deleted since February 2020.

He said that counterfeit and misleading material has now reached the mainstream from the grassroots level and its scope has spread to every aspect of the society which spreads like wildfire in the communities.

But at the same time, the YouTube official said that the accounts containing misleading content are a very small part of the overall content of this platform.

“The rate of bad content is very small compared to the billions of videos on YouTube,” he said.

He said that about 10 million videos are removed from the platform by YouTube every quarter for violating the policies, most of which do not even have 10 views.

A similar stance was recently taken by Facebook.

Facebook said in a report that misleading content about vaccines is not what most users like to see.

Facebook and YouTube have been widely criticized for failing to prevent misleading content during the Corona virus epidemic.

The two companies have not yet released details on how such misleading material on vaccines and health is spread and how many consumers it reaches.

According to Neil Mohan, removing misleading content is part of the company’s strategy.

He said YouTube was working to increase access to details from reliable sources and was developing a strategy to reduce the spread of dangerous content.

Caldor Fire forces thousands to flee; U.S. 50 westbound closed

Thousands of people rushed to leave South Lake Tahoe on Monday as the entire resort city came under evacuation orders and wildfire raced toward Lake Tahoe.

Evacuation warnings issued for the city of 22,000 on Sunday turned into orders Monday. Vehicles loaded with bikes and camping gear and hauling boats were stuck in traffic, stalled in hazy, brown air that smelled of campfire. Police and other emergency vehicles whizzed by.
U.S. Highway 50 was closed to westbound traffic at at Golf Club Drive.
"This is a systematic evacuation, one neighborhood at a time," South Lake Tahoe Police Lt. Travis Cabral said on social media. "I am asking you as our community to please remain calm."
The new orders came a day after communities several miles south of the lake were abruptly ordered evacuated as the Caldor Fire raged nearby.
South Lake Tahoe's main medical facility, Barton Memorial Hospital, proactively evacuated 36 patients needing skilled nursing and 16 in acute care beds Sunday, sending them to regional facilities far from the fire, public information officer Mindi Befu said. The rest of the hospital was evacuating following Monday's expanded orders.
South Lake Tahoe Mayor Tamara Wallace prepared to leave with her husband, youngest child, dogs and items given to them from their deceased parent — objects that can't be replaced.
She thought the Caldor Fire would stay farther away. Fires in the past did not spread so rapidly near the tourist city.
"It's just yet another example of how wildfires have changed over the years," she said. "It's just a culmination of 14 to 18 more years of dead trees, the droughts we've had since then, those kinds of things."
The region faces a warning from the National Weather Service about critical fire weather Monday and Tuesday.
The fire destroyed multiple homes Sunday along Highway 50, one of the main routes to the lake's south end. It also roared through the Sierra-at-Tahoe ski resort, demolishing some buildings but leaving the main buildings at the base intact.
Fire churned through mountains just a few miles southwest of the Tahoe Basin, where thick smoke sent visitors packing at a time when summer vacations would usually be in full swing ahead of Labor Day weekend.
There were reports of cabins burned in the unincorporated community of Echo Lake, where Tom Fashinell has operated Echo Chalet with his wife since 1984. The summer-only resort offers cabin rentals, but was ordered to close early for the season by the U.S. Forest Service due to ongoing wildfires.
Fashinell said he was glued to the local TV news. "We're watching to see whether the building survives," he said.
The last major blaze in the area took South Lake Tahoe by surprise after blowing up from an illegal campfire in the summer of 2007. The Angora Fire burned less than 5 square miles but destroyed 254 homes, injured three people and forced 2,000 people to flee.

These 8 Android Apps Causing Joker Virus Threat
These 8 Android Apps Causing Joker Virus Threat

The Belgian Police has once again warned Android users. Police have warned of a return of the ‘Joker’ virus and advised Android users to avoid 8 apps. Let us tell you, Joker Virus hides itself under the guise of apps inside the Google Play store and once the user installs it on their phone, it infects the device through the app. This virus can allegedly gain access to payment services without your knowledge.

The Belgian Police has released a statement on its website and said that the Joker virus has been found in 8 apps on the Google Play Store. These are the same 8 apps that were detected by researchers at Security Labs Quick Heal in June this year. They were also removed from Google Play by the search giant after complaining to Google. However, if these apps are still installed on a device, it needs to be removed immediately.

Police has warned users to remove these 8 apps from their mobile phones as soon as possible. These include Auxiliary Message, Element Scanner, Fast Mic SMS, Free CamScanner, Go Messages, Super Message, Super SMS and Travel Wallpapers apps. Users still running these apps can become a victim of ‘Joker’ virus.

The ‘Joker’ virus first appeared in 2017. According to Quick Hill, Joker virus captures highly sensitive information like data, SMS, contacts, device information as well as OTP. The virus can gain access to payment services and withdraw money from users’ bank accounts or credit cards. If you have any of the above mentioned 8 apps on your mobile too, we would recommend you to remove it immediately.

PMC Announces Discount on Licensing Exam Fee

PMC Announces Discount on Licensing Exam Fee
PMC Announces Discount on Licensing Exam Fee

The Pakistan Medical Commission PMC has announced a rebate for medical and dental students in the registration fee for the National Licensing Examination NLE.

The development came as a result of a meeting in which medical students discussed the NLE with PMC President Dr Arshad Taqi and senior PMC council members. At the special request of the President of PAMC, SAPM on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the students agreed with the concept of NLE and acknowledged that such an examination is necessary to bring the quality of the country’s healthcare services up to international standards.

However, the students told the PMC Council that their only problem with the NLE was that it was mandatory for all of them.

In response, Dr. Arshad clarified that the PMC does not have the authority to exempt anyone from the NLE. Any medical student who has graduated since September 2020 is now required by law to qualify for an NLE in order to be fully licensed. Moreover, a recent decision of the Lahore High Court (LHC) has also approved the PMC’s scheme.

The students then argued that if they failed to pass the NLE in the first attempt, they would not only lose six months but also lose money.

In response, the PMC Council decided to give a 100% discount to the first batch of students registered for the first NLE set to be held later this month. The PMC allowed the failed students of the August 2021 session to re-appear in the next NLE by paying only 25% of the registration fee.

Students registering for the NLE December 2021 session will also be given a 100% discount and students who fail this period will be charged 25% of the registration fee to retake the NLE.

Those who register for the NLE June 2022 session will be given a 50% discount and students who fail this term will be charged only 50% of the registration fee for re-appearing in the NLE.

The PMC Council also clarified that the NLE would be held four times a year. June, September, December and March to facilitate students who may take the exam during or after their homework.
